My Name is Randy Walker, I began fishing as a child at the age of about 7 years old out of ponds that I had access to while going with my dad to softball games. I have always enjoyed fishing as a kid and into my teens I continued to throw a line out as often as possible. Once I was able to drive and got my first set of wheels, I would head down to the river banks a couple of times a week to see what I could catch.
I really got into bass fishing in 1997 when I bought my first bass boat and have had a strong passion for the sport ever since. I started fishing in small club events to learn more and meet new people. I soon realized that much of my spare time was being dedicated to bass fishing and could not get enough of it nor stop thinking about it. I found a partner and began to fish some semi-pro team events and had a little success. I then decided to try to take things to the next level of learning and started fishing pro-am events along with some Federation events, which both helped me expand my skills and allowed me to meet some amazing people. I try to fish every chance I get and weather I’m fishing an event or just spending the day out on the water with my wife or friends it’s just something that is a part of me and is who I became to be. I really enjoy introducing the sport of bass fishing to people and I understand how important new anglers are to the sport to ensure its’ growth and longevity. I am passionate and participate in youth fishing events and also contribute time doing volunteer work that helps families in the Sacramento area where I was born and raised.
I am an extremely approachable individual that loves to talk fishing and I truly look forward to the opportunity of promoting the sport and my sponsors every chance I get.
I currently live in Roseville CA with my wife Donna and our four dogs Koda, Rylee, Remi and Bentley. I also have two step daughters Jennifer, Courtney and a granddaughter Marlee that round out my family.
If you happen to see me on the water, at a fishing event or just out and about… Please don’t hesitate to stop and say hello, I always enjoy meeting new people and look forward to the opportunity.
